LimelightDesign was created as the South African sister branch of Maresch Kristall Leuchten in Austria.The Maresch Family started the company more than 40 years ago. And it has now been passed down to its 3rd generation, Patrick Miller.

Our expansion to South Africa was due to our 1st Head Designer – Patrick Miller’s Austrian/South African heritage and proved to be a very logical and natural one. As he was intent on blending his Traditional Chandelier background with design inspiration in this buzzing country. And that is how LimelightDesign came about.

For us, Crystal is more than a sparkling decoration, it has become a design medium. And by combining it with Woods, Fabrics, Perspex, Glass and Metals it takes further shape. One could say, it comes to life.

The Parkhurst Studio in Johannesburg and our manufacture in George are a testament to that philosophy, as we stock the traditional, the modern, the kitsch and the classics.

We create Chandeliers, Wall Units, Crystal Art, and Custom Crystal Creations - and all Lead Crystal. We are specifically proud of our ability to customize. We can design the perfect pieces to suit space and taste.
